Women’s Words: Dawn Bjoraker
Native American Justice VIDEOS
Today's Women's Words are from Dawn Bjoraker member of the Sicangu Lakota Nation, the Rosebud Sioux Tribe, and one of the women featured in our award winning short film Native Silence directed by our Executive Director, Jane Wells. Native Silence is a solemn account of the legacy of forced adoption on Native American children, torn from their tribal communities and placed in foster care and boarding schools.
Dawn talks about the roles of a mother and the need for positive, strong women role models.
