Sandy Hook Anniversary

9 years ago, 20 innocent children and 6 adults were senselessly murdered in what is meant to be a place of sanctuary and safety. Since then there has been no tangible progress in preventing access to guns for those who should not be using them.

If we are to protect children, teachers, parents, schools, places of worship, shopping malls, baseball fields and our homes we must actually create stricter gun laws.

The facts are known. The truth is evident. The lives are lost. It is so beyond time. It’s a travesty. It’s shameful. It’s America. It’s that pesky 2nd Amendment: used and abused by a minority to tyrannize the majority.

May their sacrifice never be forgotten.
