Rinchen Dharlo

In 1959, Rinchen Dharlo and his family fled to India amidst the violence that had erupted in Tibet following the failed uprising that year. Rinchen began working for the Tibetan government-in-exile in 1972 and has held several positions including representative to the Dalai Lama in Nepal and the Americas as well as director of the Office of Tibet. Rinchen now lives in New York City where he serves as president of the Tibet Fund.
