Tibetan nun, Ngawang Sangdrol has been a lifelong advocate for Tibet protesting the Chinese occupation. She was arrested at 13 for peacefully demonstrating against the occupation and again at 15 for staging a peaceful pro-independence demonstration in Lhasa. Her sentence was repeatedly extended, as she continued to protest in prison.
