Eliza Griswold, a poet and reporter, is helping to preserve the Pastho tradition of women's poetry.

In 2012, Eliza Griswold traveled to Afghanistan to document and preserve the Pashto tradition of landays, two-line, spoken word poems traded between women as a form of communication, entertainment, and sometimes subversion.
